Whatever happens there have only been a few years with more entrants

Based on 1290 entrants at this stage that more or less guarantees 1100 starters and there are only 6 years when there have been more than 1100.

In the early years we could confirm how many churches every walker reached but as the numbers grew Braddan was dropped from the check list to save crossing the road and latterly no times have been taken at Marown. So for my records a starter is someone who reaches Santon. Even the number of people who register is different from the number of starters because some register in hope that their illness or injury clears.
